hurt people hurt people.
it seems as though the days have reverted back to their hugh jackman state, making everyone feel like dropping whatever they're doing to go roll around on the cool floor tiles. even at night, it feels as though the sun is quietly creeping about the sky disguised as a shifty-looking cloud, secretly emanating heat on all of us, when it should be busy shining down on the other side of the world.
and yes, i really am talking about the weather. on purpose. and not because it's gotten to that point in a conversation between two people where both parties have completely run out of things to discuss and are practically radiating awkwardness. i've been there, and if anything, mentioning the weather just makes things even more awkward, especially if the other person thinks you were being serious and actually glances at the sky and nods in assent before letting the subject fizzle out unspectacularly.
man. that was really uncomfortable. i'm usually good at avoiding these sort of situations, but when that happened i was a little too flummoxed to be able to do any more than just stare at the boy wordlessly whilst i died a little inside, realising that whilst shy boys may come across as adorable and mysterious, they can be really poo at scintillating conversations and charming repartee.

bleh. time to get back to rolling around on the floor and see what all the fuss is about.
